• Pasta is a good source of energy and protein.

• By law, all Domestic pasta made with durum semolina must be enriched with vitamins and minerals – thiamine, iron, riboflavin and niacin.

• Pasta is practically fat free.

• Pasta is rich in carbohydrates mainly in the form of starch that is easily digested.

• Carbohydrates are stored as glycogen in muscle tissue. Athletes use these stored glycogen reserves as a fuel source for working muscles.

• Pasta is a source of thiamine, niacin, pantothenic acid, magnesium, phosphorus, iron, zinc, copper, folic acid.

• Pasta made with Durum Semolina contains natural Gluten, a protein which is a known allergen to some people.
